The Zlin Aero Savage
There are four basic types of Savage aircraft:
All Savage aircraft have a tandem seat configuration are manufactured between Zlin Aviation S.R.O’s production facilities in the Czech Republic and an assembly plant in Northern Italy.
Flight Characteristics
All Savages are true bush planes made for exploring the wilderness. Capable of flying and landing on pretty much any clear patch of land, you’ll be amazed at what is possible in this airplane. Due to its relatively large rudder and horizontal stabilizer for its size, the Savage has extremely good low speed handling control, allowing you to fly low and slow both safely and in control.
Classic Design, Modern Construction
No matter which model of Savage you choose, all have the same wing and basic airframe. Each is comprised of a steel tube frame and an aluminum wing that is shrink wrapped with high strength lightweight treated fabric skin. This process yields a strong, lightweight airframe, similar to those seen for the last half century in the Piper Cub series of airplanes. The difference is in the modern construction and materials, which improve quality and eliminate unnecessary weight. These differences allow for the supreme performance specifications outlined for each model of aircraft. Visit the Zlin Aviation website

Rotax 912
Given its reliability, light weight and ease of use, the Rotax 912 series of engines has become ubiquitous among light sport aircraft. With a class-leading power to weight ratio, they allow for the most kick, without having to truck along unnecessary weight that will slow you down. They are the perfect piece of technology to power your Savage.
